ERP Implementation Consultant

Independent ERP / Odoo Consultant (Food Manufacturing)
Fractional contract · About 10 hrs/week · 4–6 months (possible extension) · $80–100/hr · New Jersey

A snack food manufacturer is implementing Odoo across a multi-site, multi-entity operation in New Jersey. They want an experienced independent consultant to act as their adviser. You’ll provide objective oversight of the implementation, challenge design decisions where needed, and help steer the project through go-live.

What you’ll do

• Review the proposed design and configuration against real plant and business processes
• Focus on Order to Cash and production planning, with input across manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, recipes/BOMs and lot traceability
• Identify risks early and strengthen testing and go-live readiness
• Work with executives, operations teams and the implementation partner

What you’ll bring

• Essential: Hands-on ERP implementation experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Strongly preferred: Direct Odoo implementation experience
• A strong functional background, with the operational depth to lead process discussions and the technical awareness to assess configuration, data and integrations
• Knowledge of regulated food environments (BRC/GFSI): lot control, shelf life, traceability and recall readiness
• The confidence to give an independent view rather than simply validate the vendor

Engagement details

• Rate: $80–100/hr
• Location: Mainly remote. A visit to the client’s New Jersey site will likely be required in the first couple of weeks.
• Structure: Candidates contracting through an active LLC or S corp are preferred.
